This Privacy Policy describes how Neon Drift (“the App”, “the Service”) handles information in connection with your use of the game. Neon Drift is developed and operated by herdoydev (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By downloading, installing, or using Neon Drift, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies only to the Neon Drift mobile application. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, or advertisements that may be linked to or displayed within the App.

3. Information we collect

3.1 Information you provide directly

None. Neon Drift does not require an account, login, or registration. We do not ask for, collect, or store your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, photos, contacts, or any other personally identifying information.

3.2 Information stored locally on your device

The App stores the following data on your device only, using on-device storage (MMKV). This data never leaves your device through our systems and we cannot access it:

• Coin balance
• Remaining lives and regeneration timestamps
• Highest score
• Daily bonus claim timestamp

This data is automatically deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

3.3 Information collected by advertising partners

To fund free access to the App, Neon Drift displays advertisements served by Google AdMob (operated by Google LLC). To serve and measure those advertisements, AdMob may collect:

3.4 What we do not collect

To be explicit, Neon Drift does not:

• Operate any backend servers that receive or store your data
• Use any third-party analytics SDK (e.g., Firebase Analytics, Amplitude)
• Use any crash reporting SDK (e.g., Sentry, Crashlytics)
• Collect precise location (GPS)
• Access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or files
• Track you across other apps or websites

The only network communication the App performs is with Google’s advertising infrastructure (AdMob).

4. Purposes of processing

Information processed via AdMob is used to:

• Serve advertisements (personalized where permitted, non-personalized otherwise)
• Measure ad performance, frequency, and quality
• Prevent fraudulent or invalid ad traffic
• Comply with Google’s and our legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not use your data for any purpose outside of the advertising described here.

5. Data sharing

Your information is shared only with:

• Google LLC, as operator of the AdMob advertising network
• Advertising demand partners that Google contracts with to serve advertisements on its behalf
• Government authorities when required by applicable law

We do not share information with any other parties.

6. Children’s privacy

Neon Drift is intended for users aged 13 and older. The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the App, please contact us at contact@herdoydev.com and we will work with you and Google to address the concern.

The App is configured with:

• maxAdContentRating set to Teen (T) so advertisements served are age-appropriate
• tagForChildDirectedTreatment set to false (the App is not a children’s service)
• tagForUnderAgeOfConsent set to false

This configuration aligns with the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) provisions applicable to minors.

7. Your choices and controls

7.1 Opt out of personalized advertising (Android)

1. Open Settings on your Android device
2. Tap Google → Ads
3. Enable Delete advertising ID or Opt out of Ads Personalization

After opting out you will still see advertisements, but they will not be tailored to your interests. You can manage Google-wide ad personalization at https://adssettings.google.com.

7.2 GDPR rights (EEA, UK, Switzerland)

If you reside in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data processed about you
• Rectify inaccurate data
• Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
• Restrict or object to processing
• Request data portability
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Because Neon Drift does not directly collect personal data, most requests should be directed to Google, the ad processor. For requests specific to our limited processing, contact us at contact@herdoydev.com.

Legal basis for processing under GDPR Article 6(1): legitimate interest in funding a free ad-supported service, and consent where required for personalized advertising.

7.3 CCPA / CPRA rights (California residents)

California residents have the right to:

• Know what personal information is collected
• Request deletion of personal information
• Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information
• Non-discrimination for exercising these rights

Neon Drift does not sell personal information. For AdMob-related requests, see https://privacy.google.com/businesses/compliance.

8. Data deletion requests

How to delete data associated with Neon Drift:

1. Local device data (coins, lives, high score): uninstall the App, or clear its storage from Android Settings → Apps → Neon Drift → Storage → Clear data.
2. Advertising identifier data: reset or delete your Android Advertising ID via Settings → Google → Ads.
3. Questions or requests about residual data: email contact@herdoydev.com with subject line “Data Deletion Request”. We will respond within 30 days and assist you in requesting deletion from Google where applicable.

Because Neon Drift does not maintain user accounts or server-side user data, no server-side deletion is typically needed.

9. Data retention

• Local device data: retained on your device until uninstall or manual clearing.
• AdMob data: retained by Google according to Google’s data retention practices — see https://policies.google.com/privacy.

10. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the limited data the App processes:

• Advertising requests are transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections
• We do not operate any server that stores personal data, removing that attack surface entirely
• Local device data is stored using Android’s native application sandbox

No method of digital transmission or storage is 100% secure. You use the App at your own risk.

11. International data transfers

Neon Drift is available globally. By using the App you understand that information processed by Google’s advertising infrastructure may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States and other jurisdictions in which Google operates. These countries may have data protection laws different from those of your country. Google maintains safeguards for international transfers as described in Google’s Privacy Policy.

12. Third-party links

Advertisements displayed in the App may link to third-party websites, apps, or services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their privacy policies before providing any information to them.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or advertising partners. Updates will be posted at the same URL as this policy, with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes will also be announced in the Google Play Store listing.

Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
